This Privacy Policy applies to the Mac desktop application “Macaify” operated by Nanjing Zuimeijia Technology Co., Ltd. The app is local‑first and does not collect or store any personal information on our servers. We do not run telemetry, analytics, or tracking.

Scope

This Policy covers the Mac app only. Any external services you choose to use (for example, AI model providers you configure) have their own policies that apply to requests you send to them.

No Data Collection

• We do not collect personal data, diagnostics, or analytics.
• We do not use cookies, trackers, or advertising identifiers.
• We do not maintain accounts or profiles for the Mac app.
• Subscription AI only: we record usage metering (for example, model identifier and token/character counts) to operate the service and optimize performance. We do not collect or store your prompts, responses, or files.

On‑Device Processing

Text selection, keyboard shortcuts, and processing happen on your Mac. Content you select or edit stays on your device unless you explicitly send it to a third‑party AI provider you configured.

Network Connections

• Bring‑your‑own provider: if you configure your own AI provider, requests are sent directly from your device to that provider. We do not proxy or log your prompts or responses.
• Subscription‑included AI: when you use AI services provided within a Macaify subscription, your content is relayed through our server and transparently forwarded to the target model provider. Our server does not store your prompts or responses; it only records metered usage (e.g., tokens, request counts, model) to enable billing, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• Your use of any provider is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

Permissions on macOS

To enable shortcuts and improve your workflow, the app may request certain system permissions (for example, accessibility to detect shortcut triggers or read the currently selected text). These permissions are used solely for core functionality; no keystrokes or content are transmitted to us.

Keys and Settings

Any API keys or settings you enter are stored locally on your Mac and are never sent to our servers. You can remove them at any time in the app’s settings or by uninstalling the app.

Crash Reports

We do not collect crash reports. If you choose to share a crash log with us during support, it is used only to diagnose the issue and is deleted once the case is resolved.

Changes

If we make material changes to this Policy, we will update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the app after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
